Communications are very important for workers in hazardous environments, to ensure that they can safely interact about work in progress. There are two main types of electronic communication, which are hardline and radio.
Hardline utilises a fixed line that gives a continuous uninterruptible communication method, but does have the disadvantage of many leads in a hazardous environment.
Radio communications have the advantage of being more mobile than a line system, but there is always the possibility of interference or loss of communication if the signal is obstructed by other items such as concrete walls, heavy steel fabrications.
The options we list here as standard are all Intrinsically Safe meaning they can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, but we offer a full range of communication systems which we can discuss with you.
